Helfy® Renal & Metabolic Screen: UMIC Profile
A high-resolution microscopic audit of your internal environment.
The Urine Microscopy, Identification & Culture (UMIC) profile is a critical diagnostic window into your metabolic efficiency and renal health. Beyond simple hydration, this doctor-led panel identifies the presence of microscopic cellular debris, crystals, and metabolic byproducts that standard blood tests might miss. This test ensures your "liquid waste" system is operating without inflammation or structural stress, protecting your kidneys for the long term.
🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters
Microscopic Cellular Analysis
-
Urine RBCs, WBCs & Organisms
Detects microscopic traces of blood, immune cells, or bacteria. These are early indicators of silent inflammation, infection, or irritation within the urinary tract. -
Urine Casts, Crystals & Epithelial Cells
Identifies structural "debris" from the kidneys. Crystals can indicate a predisposition to kidney stones, while casts provide a direct look at the health of the renal tubules.
Metabolic Markers & pH Balance
-
Ketones & Urine Glucose
Direct indicators of fuel utilization. Elevated levels can signal metabolic inflexibility or early shifts in glucose management. -
Urine PH & Protein
Measures the acidity of your internal environment and the integrity of the kidney's filtration barrier. Protein leakage is a primary early warning sign of renal stress.
Hepatic-Renal Indicators
-
Bilirubin & Urobilinogen
Byproducts of liver and red blood cell metabolism. Their presence in urine provides an indirect but vital assessment of your liver's processing efficiency and bile flow.
⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement
- This diagnostic panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
- Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release these results.
- Laboratory findings are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.
Urinary markers can be influenced by recent exercise or diet; our clinicians ensure your results are interpreted with clinical precision.
🔐 Clinical Governance Notice
How We Protect You
- All diagnostic panels require a follow-up consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to
- Results are not released without clinical review
- Orders without a booked consultation cannot be processed
This is a doctor-led diagnostic pathway designed for clinical governance and the proactive prevention of renal and metabolic disease.
💡 Designed for people who:
This Panel Is For You If You:
- Follow a high-protein or ketogenic diet and want to monitor metabolic byproducts
- Are optimizing hydration and mineral balance for performance
- Have a history of kidney stones or frequent urinary tract irritation
- Want a 360-degree audit of their filtration health beyond standard bloodwork
- Prioritize organ longevity as a foundation for their 100-day journey
🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test requires a Mid-Stream Urine (MSU) sample collected in a sterile container provided by the clinic. -
Collection Method
To avoid contamination from skin cells (epithelial cells), ensure you catch the "middle" portion of the urine stream. -
Activity
Avoid extremely strenuous exercise for 24 hours prior to collection, as intense physical stress can cause temporary "leakage" of protein or RBCs into the urine. -
Hydration
Drink water normally. Avoid excessive fluid intake immediately before the test, as an overly diluted sample may mask low-level markers. -
Medications
Certain vitamins (like B2) can change urine color or interfere with chemical readings. Inform your clinician of any supplements you are taking.
