Helfy® PCOS Plus: Advanced Metabolic & Endocrine Profile
A comprehensive 360-degree investigation into the drivers of PCOS.
PCOS is more than a hormonal imbalance; it is a systemic metabolic challenge. This advanced, doctor-led panel expands on our core testing to investigate the three primary drivers of the syndrome: androgen excess, insulin resistance, and adrenal stress. By integrating AMH and Cortisol with deep metabolic markers, we provide the clinical map required to restore hormonal rhythm and metabolic flexibility.
🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters
Androgen Architecture & Ovarian Reserve
-
Total Testosterone, FAI & SHBG
A detailed assessment of bioavailable androgens. Low SHBG is a key indicator of insulin-driven hormonal disruption, leading to an increase in the "Free" testosterone that causes physical symptoms. -
LH & FSH Ratio
The classic pituitary signaling markers used to identify ovulatory dysfunction and the characteristic "LH surge" found in PCOS. -
Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH)
In PCOS, AMH is often elevated due to the high number of small follicles. This provides critical insight into ovarian activity and reproductive longevity.
Metabolic Health & Insulin Sensitivity
-
HbA1c & Random Glucose
Essential markers for identifying insulin resistance and pre-diabetes, which are present in up to 70% of PCOS cases regardless of body weight. -
Lipid Profile
A comprehensive cholesterol screen to monitor the cardiovascular risks often associated with metabolic PCOS phenotypes.
Adrenal & Metabolic Regulation
-
Cortisol & DHEA-Sulphate
We evaluate adrenal output to differentiate between "Ovarian" PCOS and "Adrenal" PCOS. High DHEA-S can indicate that stress-responsive pathways are driving your androgen excess. -
TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)
To ensure that thyroid-related metabolic slowing is not mimicking or exacerbating your PCOS symptoms.
⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement
- This blood panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
- Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release this blood test order.
- Results are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.
Because PCOS involves multiple organ systems, these markers must be synthesized by a clinician to create a safe and effective treatment strategy.
🔐 Clinical Governance Notice
How We Protect You

This is a doctor-led diagnostic pathway designed for clinical safety and the management of complex endocrine conditions.
💡 Designed for people who:
This Panel Is For You If You:
- Have been diagnosed with PCOS and want to understand their metabolic risk
- Struggle with weight, adult acne, or hirsutism and want to find the root cause
- Are seeking a data-led approach to restoring regular ovulation and fertility
- Want to differentiate between adrenal stress and ovarian hormonal shifts
- Prioritize metabolic longevity and hormonal balance
This is not a general health check.
This is a precision longevity panel built to synchronize your metabolic and reproductive systems.
🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Pre-Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test is performed via a venous blood draw for clinical accuracy. -
Cycle Timing
For the most accurate FSH/LH and androgen baseline, test on Day 2, 3, or 4 of your cycle. If cycles are absent, you may test at any time. -
Timing
You must take your sample before 10am to capture the morning peak of Cortisol and Testosterone. -
Diet
A fast of 8-10 hours is required for accurate Glucose and Lipid readings. Water only. -
Supplements
Avoid Biotin (Vitamin B7) for 48 hours prior to the test, as it can significantly interfere with the accuracy of AMH, Thyroid, and Steroid assays.
