Helfy® Menopause Management: Transition Profile
Clarity and control through the hormonal shift.
The transition into menopause is a significant biological milestone that impacts metabolic rate, bone density, and neurovascular health. This doctor-led panel evaluates the signaling between the brain and the ovaries, alongside master metabolic markers. By identifying the specific stage of your transition, whether perimenopause or post-menopause, we can provide the data-driven insights needed to maintain resilience and performance.
🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters
The Menopausal Transition Axis
-
FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) & LH (Luteinising Hormone)
As ovarian reserve declines, the pituitary gland increases the production of FSH and LH to compensate. High levels are the primary clinical indicators used to confirm perimenopause or menopause. -
Oestradiol (E2)
The main form of estrogen produced by the ovaries. Monitoring its decline is essential for assessing your risk for "inflammaging," bone loss (osteoporosis), and changes in cardiovascular protection.
Metabolic Energy & Thyroid Stability
-
TSH & Free T4
The symptoms of thyroid dysfunction (fatigue, weight gain, brain fog) often mimic or exacerbate menopausal symptoms. We test the thyroid axis to ensure your energy regulation is optimized during this period of hormonal flux.
⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement
- This blood panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
- Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release this blood test order.
- Results are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.
Hormone levels during the transition can be highly volatile; a clinical review ensures your data is interpreted alongside your specific symptoms and health history.
🔐 Clinical Governance Notice

🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Pre-Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test requires a venous blood draw performed by a qualified clinician. -
Timing
Take your sample before 10am for consistent thyroid (TSH) readings. -
Cycle Timing
If you still have occasional periods, we recommend testing on Day 2, 3, or 4 of your cycle (where Day 1 is the first day of bleeding) for a standardised baseline. If periods have stopped, you can test at any time. -
Hormone Therapy
If you are already on HRT, please discuss the timing of your blood draw with your clinician, as this may be used to monitor your current dosage. -
Supplements
Avoid Biotin (Vitamin B7) for 48 hours prior to the test, as it can cause significant interference with the accuracy of Oestradiol and TSH assays.
