Helfy® Liver Function Profile
Optimize the chemical engine of your longevity.
The liver is the body's primary laboratory, responsible for over 500 vital functions including detoxification, protein synthesis, and hormone metabolism. This doctor-led diagnostic panel provides a high-resolution audit of your hepatic health. By analyzing specific enzymes and proteins, we ensure your liver is equipped to process nutrients, clear metabolic waste, and support systemic vitality.
🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters
Enzymatic Activity & Cellular Integrity
-
ALT (Alanine Transferase) & AST (Aspartate Transferase)
Intracellular enzymes that serve as sensitive markers for liver cell integrity. Elevated levels can indicate cellular stress or inflammation, often before symptoms appear. -
GGT (Gamma GT) & ALP (Alkaline Phosphatase)
Markers primarily related to the bile ducts and gallbladder. GGT is a highly sensitive indicator of oxidative stress and the liver's response to environmental toxins or alcohol.
Synthetic Function & Protein Balance
-
Albumin, Globulin & Total Protein
These markers reflect the liver’s "synthetic" capacity—its ability to build the proteins necessary for fluid balance, immune function, and the transport of hormones and nutrients throughout the blood. -
Bilirubin
A byproduct of the breakdown of red blood cells. Measuring bilirubin assesses the liver's efficiency in processing and excreting metabolic waste products.

🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Pre-Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test requires a venous blood draw performed by a qualified clinician. -
Diet & Alcohol
You must fast for 8–10 hours prior to the test. Water only. You must avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours prior, as it can acutely spike GGT and ALT levels. -
Activity
Avoid strenuous weightlifting or high-intensity exercise for 48 hours prior. Intense muscle breakdown can cause a temporary elevation in AST and ALT, leading to a "false positive" for liver stress. -
Supplements
Inform your clinician of any herbal supplements or medications you are currently taking, as many can influence liver enzyme readings.
