Helfy® Female Hormone Profile
Master the delicate rhythm of your biological longevity.
Female longevity is uniquely tied to hormonal transitions and endocrine stability. This precision panel evaluates the critical feedback loops between the pituitary gland and the ovaries, while simultaneously assessing thyroid efficiency and androgen balance. By identifying early shifts in these "master regulators," we can optimize your metabolic rate, mood resilience, and structural health before the symptoms of transition manifest.
🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters
The Central Command (HPG Axis)
-
FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) & LH (Luteinising Hormone)
The primary "messenger" hormones from the brain. Measuring these helps clinicians determine your reproductive stage and identify the first signs of perimenopausal transition or PCOS. -
Oestradiol (E2)
The most potent estrogen in the body. It is a critical protector of your cardiovascular system, bone density, and cognitive health. Maintaining optimal levels is a fundamental pillar of healthspan. -
Prolactin
A stress-sensitive hormone; when elevated, it can disrupt the entire hormonal rhythm, leading to cycle irregularities and reduced energy.
Androgen Balance & Bioavailability
-
Testosterone & Free Androgen Index (FAI)
While often labeled a male hormone, testosterone is essential for women’s libido, muscle tone, and mental clarity. We calculate the FAI to see how much hormone is actually available to your cells. -
SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)
The transport protein that binds to your sex hormones. It is a sensitive indicator of metabolic health and insulin resistance.
Metabolic Control & Thyroid Health
-
TSH & Free T4
The master regulators of your basal metabolic rate. Sub-clinical thyroid dysfunction is a common, often-missed driver of fatigue, weight changes, and "brain fog."
⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement
- This blood panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
- Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release this blood test order.
- Results are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.
This is essential because female hormones must be interpreted within the context of your unique cycle day, symptoms, and life stage.

🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Pre-Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test requires a venous blood draw performed by a qualified clinician. -
Cycle Timing
For those with a regular menstrual cycle, it is clinically recommended to test on Day 2, 3, or 4 of your cycle (where Day 1 is the first day of your period) for the most accurate baseline. -
Timing
Samples must be taken before 10am to ensure TSH and Prolactin levels are measured at their most stable circadian peak. -
Activity
Avoid strenuous exercise and significant stress for 24 hours prior, as these can artificially elevate Prolactin levels. -
Supplements
Avoid Biotin (Vitamin B7) for 48 hours before testing, as it can cause significant interference with the accuracy of thyroid and hormonal assays.
