Helfy® Erectile Dysfunction Profile
Decode the biological signals of male performance.
Erectile function is a complex orchestration of vascular integrity, hormonal signaling, and metabolic health. This doctor-led diagnostic panel goes beyond surface-level testing to evaluate the "Goldilocks zone" of free hormones, the health of your endothelial lining (via lipids and glucose), and the neurological influence of prolactin and thyroid function. Designed for precision, this profile identifies the physiological bottlenecks to performance and provides the data required to restore systemic vitality.
🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters
Hormonal Architecture & Bioavailability
-
Total & Free Testosterone (Calculated)
While Total Testosterone provides the broad picture, "Free" Testosterone is the unbound, biologically active fraction that actually drives libido, mood, and muscle protein synthesis. -
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) & FAI
SHBG acts as a carrier protein; measuring it allows us to calculate the Free Androgen Index (FAI), ensuring we understand how much hormone is actually available to your tissues. -
Prolactin
A hormone secreted by the pituitary gland; when elevated, it can directly suppress testosterone production and blunt the dopaminergic response required for performance.
Metabolic & Vascular Integrity
-
Lipid Profile & HbA1c
Erectile function is fundamentally vascular. We assess cardiovascular risk and glycation (blood sugar) levels to ensure optimal blood flow and endothelial nitric oxide production. -
PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) Test
A critical screening marker for prostate health, ensuring any hormonal optimization is conducted safely and within appropriate clinical parameters.
Metabolic Rate & Energy Regulation
-
TSH & Free T4
Thyroid hormones regulate the metabolic rate of every cell in the body. Sub-clinical thyroid dysfunction is a frequent, overlooked contributor to low energy and reduced sexual desire.
⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement
- This blood panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
- Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release this blood test order.
- Results are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.
This ensures sensitive hormonal and PSA data is interpreted accurately within the context of your age, symptoms, and physical examination.

- Experience changes in libido, morning erections, or sexual performance
- Feel "burnt out" with low motivation, brain fog, and poor exercise recovery
- Want to ensure your cardiovascular and metabolic health supports optimal blood flow
- Are over 40 and want a comprehensive baseline of your androgenic status
- Care about total-body masculinity and hormonal resilience
This is not a general health check.
This is a precision performance panel built to ensure your endocrine system and vascular health are optimized for the decades ahead.
🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Pre-Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test requires a venous blood draw performed by a qualified clinician. -
Timing
Samples must be taken before 10am. Testosterone levels peak in the morning and decline throughout the day; testing later can lead to an inaccurate diagnosis of low testosterone. -
PSA Requirements
To ensure PSA accuracy, avoid ejaculation or vigorous exercise (especially cycling) for 48 hours prior to the test. Do not test if you have a current urinary tract infection. -
Diet
A 10-12 hour fast is required for the Lipid Profile and HbA1c components. Water only. -
Health Condition
Acute illness or significant sleep deprivation the night before can temporarily suppress testosterone. Only test when you are in your normal state of health.
