Helfy® Bone Profile
Optimize the structural framework of your longevity.
Bone health is a dynamic process of constant remodeling. This doctor-led diagnostic panel evaluates the essential minerals and hormonal catalysts required for skeletal density, alongside high-sensitivity markers of systemic inflammation that can accelerate bone resorption. By identifying imbalances in calcium homeostasis and vitamin D status, this profile provides the clinical data necessary to mitigate fracture risk and support musculoskeletal performance.
🔬 What We Test - And Why It Matters
Mineral Homeostasis & Skeletal Health
-
Calcium
A critical cation involved in skeletal mineralization, neuromuscular signaling, and enzymatic co-factors. Tight regulation is essential for cellular function. -
Corrected Calcium
Because a significant portion of serum calcium is bound to albumin, this calculation provides the physiologically active "free" calcium level, ensuring clinical accuracy in assessing parathyroid and bone health. -
Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy)
A secosteroid hormone essential for the intestinal absorption of calcium. Optimal levels are required to prevent secondary hyperparathyroidism and to maintain innate immune competence. -
hs-CRP (High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein)
An acute-phase reactant used as a proxy for systemic "inflammaging." Chronic low-grade inflammation is a known driver of osteoclast activity, leading to accelerated bone loss and impaired recovery.
⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement
- This blood panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
- Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release this blood test order.
- Results are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.
This ensures your data is interpreted safely, accurately, and in the context of your full health picture and not viewed in isolation.
🔐 Clinical Governance Notice
How We Protect You
- All diagnostic blood panels require a follow-up consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to
- Results are not released without clinical review
- Orders without a booked consultation cannot be processed
This is a doctor-led diagnostic pathway designed for safety, accuracy, and real-world outcomes and not generic wellness testing.
💡 Designed for people who:
This Panel Is For You If You:
- Are engaged in high-impact or high-volume resistance training
- Want to establish a baseline for bone mineral density (BMD) support
- Are at risk of "inflammaging" due to lifestyle or metabolic stress
- Are managing recovery from musculoskeletal injury or stress fractures
- Prioritise skeletal durability as a prerequisite for lifelong mobility
This is not a general health check.
This is a precision physiology panel designed to ensure your structural integrity keeps pace with your performance goals.
🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Pre-Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test requires a venous blood draw performed by a qualified clinician. -
Timing
Take your sample before 10am. Diurnal variations can affect mineral and inflammatory markers. -
Activity
Avoid heavy weightlifting or high-intensity interval training (HIIT) for 48 hours prior. Acute muscle damage can temporarily elevate inflammatory markers. -
Diet
No specific fasting is required, but avoid calcium-fortified beverages or supplements for 8 hours prior to the draw. -
Supplements
Avoid high-dose Biotin (Vitamin B7) for 48 hours before testing, as it can interfere with the immunoassays used for Vitamin D and other hormones.
