Helfy® Advanced Thyroid Plus: The RT3 Metabolic Brake Profile
Identify the hidden bottlenecks in your cellular energy production.
We don't just ask if you have enough thyroid hormone; we ask if your body is actually using it. This doctor-led diagnostic panel is our most sophisticated thyroid audit, including Reverse T3 (RT3). RT3 acts as a "metabolic brake," potentially blocking your active hormones from doing their job. By analyzing the ratio between your active drive and this biological inhibitor, we provide the ultimate high-resolution map of your metabolic efficiency.
🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters
The Active Drive vs. The Metabolic Brake
-
Free T3 (FT3) & Reverse T3 (RT3)
While FT4 is the reservoir and FT3 is the "gas pedal" for your metabolism, RT3 is the "brake." Under periods of high stress, illness, or extreme dieting, the body may divert T4 into RT3 instead of FT3 to slow down metabolism. Measuring both allows us to calculate the critical T3:RT3 ratio.
Total Output & Signaling
-
TSH, FT4 & Total T4
The foundation of thyroid diagnostics. We assess the brain’s demand (TSH) and the full production capacity of the gland, ensuring the raw materials for energy are present in the bloodstream.
The Autoimmune Surveillance Suite
-
TPO & Thyroglobulin (TgAb) Antibodies
Essential for identifying "silent" thyroid inflammation. These markers detect if your immune system is targeting your thyroid, often revealing the root cause of metabolic fluctuations long before standard tests show an abnormality.
⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement
- This elite diagnostic panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
- Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release this blood test order.
- Results are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.
Reverse T3 is a complex marker that must be interpreted alongside your current stress levels, caloric intake, and systemic health to be clinically meaningful.
🔐 Clinical Governance Notice
How We Protect You
- All diagnostic blood panels require a follow-up consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to
- Results are not released without clinical review
- Orders without a booked consultation cannot be processed
This is a doctor-led diagnostic pathway designed for clinical precision and the advanced management of metabolic longevity.
💡 Designed for people who:
This Panel Is For You If You:
- Experience "hypothyroid" symptoms (fatigue, weight gain) despite having "normal" standard TSH results
- Are under significant chronic stress or recovering from a long-term illness
- Have a history of restrictive dieting or extreme athletic training
- Want the most detailed view possible of their cellular metabolic efficiency
- Prioritize metabolic flexibility as a core longevity strategy
🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test
Pre-Test Instructions
-
Sample Type
This test requires a venous blood draw performed by a qualified clinician. -
Timing
You must take your sample before 10am for the most accurate TSH and T3:RT3 ratio. -
Medications
If you take thyroid medication, take your blood sample before your morning dose. -
Supplements
Avoid Biotin (Vitamin B7) for at least 48 hours prior. Biotin significantly interferes with all thyroid assays and can lead to highly inaccurate RT3 and TSH readings. -
Fasting
A morning, fasted state is required to ensure baseline stability for these sensitive hormones.
