Helfy® Male Hormone Profile

Master the master-switch of male physiology.

Hormones are the chemical messengers that dictate your body composition, cognitive drive, and metabolic resilience. This doctor-led panel provides a high-resolution map of your endocrine health, evaluating the delicate feedback loop between the brain and the testes. By analyzing precursors like DHEA-S alongside "bioavailable" testosterone and estrogen balance, we provide the data necessary to fine-tune your hormonal environment for peak performance.

🔬 What We Test — And Why It Matters

The Central Command (Pituitary Markers)

  • Luteinising Hormone (LH) & FSH
The "messenger" hormones from the brain. LH signals the production of testosterone, while FSH governs sperm production. Measuring these helps determine if a hormonal imbalance is central (brain) or peripheral (testes) in origin.
  • Prolactin
A hormone that, when elevated by stress or medication, can act as a "brake" on the entire male hormonal system, suppressing drive and vitality.

Androgen Precision & Bioavailability

  • Total & Free Testosterone (Calculated)
We look beyond the total number to calculate what is "Free"—the unbound fraction that is actually capable of entering cells to trigger muscle growth and libido.
  • SHBG & Albumin
These proteins act as "sponges" for testosterone. Understanding their levels is critical to knowing why your "Total" levels might look normal while you feel the symptoms of low testosterone.
  • DHEA-Sulphate
An essential adrenal precursor and "neuro-steroid" that supports immune function, energy, and the production of other sex hormones.

The Balance Factor

  • Oestradiol (E2)
The primary form of estrogen. In men, maintaining the correct Testosterone-to-Oestradiol ratio is vital for bone health, cognitive function, and preventing unwanted tissue changes.

⚠️ Important Clinical Requirement

  • This blood panel must be followed by a consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to.
  • Without a booked clinical review, we are unable to process or release this blood test order.
  • Results are not issued without appropriate medical oversight.

This ensures that complex hormonal ratios are interpreted safely and that any optimization is balanced with your long-term cardiovascular and prostate health.

🔐 Clinical Governance Notice

How We Protect You

  • All diagnostic blood panels require a follow-up consultation with the Helfy® Clinic you are registered to
  • Results are not released without clinical review
  • Orders without a booked consultation cannot be processed

This is a doctor-led diagnostic pathway designed for physiological optimization, not a generic wellness check.

💡 Designed for people who:

This Panel Is For You If You:

  • Want to understand the root cause of low energy, mood shifts, or decreased strength
  • Are over 35 and want to monitor the age-related decline in androgen production
  • Are optimizing body composition and want to ensure a healthy hormonal environment
  • Are under significant stress and want to check adrenal/pituitary resilience
  • Care about hormonal longevity and biological age reversal

This is not a general health check.
This is a precision endocrine panel built to ensure your internal signaling is as sharp as your performance goals.

🧪 How to prepare for your helfy®Test

Pre-Test Instructions

  • Sample Type
This test requires a venous blood draw performed by a qualified clinician.
  • Timing
Samples must be taken before 10am. Testosterone and LH follow a strict circadian rhythm; testing later in the day will lead to clinically misleading results.
  • Health Condition
Overtraining or acute illness can temporarily crash your hormone levels. Ensure you have had 48 hours of rest and are symptom-free from any infection.
  • Diet
Fasting is not strictly required for this specific profile, but we recommend a light fast (water only) to avoid the temporary suppression of testosterone that can occur after a high-glucose meal.
  • Supplements
Avoid biotin supplements for 48 hours and do not take any hormone-affecting supplements (like DHEA or "test-boosters") on the morning of the test.
